Break the cycle
The November mid-term elections are heating up between not only Democrats and Republicans, but a new crop of independents representing Libertarians and Tea Baggers.
The atmosphere is so toxic that even those with the best intentions seem destined for corruption. The intoxicating perks of medical and retirement benefits, kickbacks, power, and influence have created a cycle of consistent campaigning and a singular focus of “keeping my job” by any means necessary.
Let’s face it, who wouldn’t want to keep a job that allows you to set your own salary and benefits for life? Is it me or does it seems like a vicious cycle of the same game with different players?
Until we the voters break the cycle – nothing will change. Let’s stop re-electing politicians that fail to produce real and visible results. It’s time to stop settling for the lesser of evils.
Let’s fix the problem and break the cycle in November.

Why is it that when conservatives take hold, you think that Washington is getting toxic?I think the air is just clearing up.

I believe term limits are a conservative ideal I can live with.Government would be more effective and efficient if politians weren't always focused on the next election cycle. It works with the President and many State houses

Politicians that produce tangible results are few. That will be difficult to change as a voter.Think for a moment--the Politician has yet to hold a public office if it is the first time running for election. On the other hand--to those that abuse the priveledge of position associated with the elected office--the vote should be a swift change.Never before has so much been riding on the vote of so few.A representation of the people, for the people,by an Election is more critical than ever before.Only "results" accomplished by those in office will guide our future!!

Interesting how you call the atmosphere "toxic" and then in almost the same breath refer to Americans exercising their right to free speech as Tea "baggers" a vile slur used by the race-baiting left to marginalize these patriots.
Really great journalism there, fair and balanced only as far as your own politics goes.
