Once or twice?
A recent Gallup Poll revealed that 50% of registered voters feel that President Obama does not deserve re-election.
Based on performance, do you think President Obama deserves a second term?

I don't think any politician deserves two terms.I am for term limits.

If at the near end of his term,we are truly better off, then yes.We have a long way to go.

I think the poll is reflective of the uncertainty of the times. The poll is also predictively along political affiliations. Not stated, but probably along racial lines as well.I agree, politics aside, too early to tell. I am undecided. We also don't know who the Republican frontrunner will be.

Biz - a quick trip to the CBO website will quickly disapprove your statement on spending.
In addition, I would like for you to tell me where are these taxes you referred to. The overwhelming majority of Americans pay lower taxes now than in the past few decades, and only less than one percent of the wealthiest Americans should expect to see a tax increase in the future.
Still, I would like for you to point to a specific source document or other artifact which supports your point...
As for President Obama, I don't like promising second terms to any President so soon, but proper reform of the financial markets and effectively addressing unemployment will establish a strong case for him to sit in the big chair for another four years. Besides, the alternatives to Obama might lead us to an economic depression...

As I relate back to your post on Fact or Fiction,I find that some of your respondents really can't tell fact from fiction.Obama has not been perfect and he is more center than I would prefer, but to suggest that his acomplishments over the past months does not deserve reelection, tell me what George Bush acomplished to deserve eight years.

YES! I would vote for him again! Why? Health care reform, reduction in nuclear weapons, closing the loophole on gunshows, repealing of don't ask, don't tell...but please close Guantanimo. Yes, I am happy he is improving relations with other countries as well.

Biz - I'm still waiting on your set of facts.
It's probably safe to assume you did not visit the CBO website, as I suggested.
I will always appreciate facts more than I will like any politician. I found no fact which supports your tax argument.
You can always say that you have no facts so that we can move on to the next topic...

Baye,The CBO stats are suspect at best and reportedly adjusted at the request of the Obama administration.I guess they paid their dues.

I wonder what type of business is BIZ in? Obviously not one that reguires a lot of research or intellect.

Biz - I love facts. You should feel free to share with me *any* set of facts you may have that will support your ideas.
Here's one more fact for you - forget about CBO for a moment and look at your pay stubs since November of 2008. The next thing you should do is look at the pay stubs of ten people you know. You will see no increase (adjusted for job promotions or anything else that puts you in a new income bracket, of course). Did President Obama magically pay off your accountant?
This conversation will be less than productive without your facts…

My small business will be forced to purchase mandated insurance that we cannot afford.Salaries will be cut and employees lost to OBAMACARE.How are these facts?

Twice! Biz,the failed public option was designed for you,but I forget, you dont believe the government should help business.or do you?
21. Baye+Kambui said...
Biz, what you just stated is not a fact.
Small business owners are not required to purchase health insurance. This provision is clearly stated in the legislation. And the government will provide a small business owner like you with financial assistance if you *decide* to purchase health insurance for your employees.
Your desperate leap from a false claim about taxes to a false claim about health insurance costs only points to one common theme -- you have no facts no facts to share with me...

ABSOLUTELY!! Given the economic situation the country was in prior to President Obama's election, and the fact that the country is recovering, albeit slowly, it should be a no brainer. Oh by the way, have you checked your pay stubs and compared them against pay stubs pre-Obama?
23. Biz said...
My pay stubs have not increased and only maintained through my efforts without a big government bailout!
