Not just 'No' but ...

Sarah Palin recently proclaimed the Republican Party as the party of “Hell No.”

Do you think this strategy of opposition and obstruction will benefit the Republicans in the November elections?

Oppostion to trillions of dollars of spending for government healthcare at the expense of hard working americans will guarantee victory

It wont work and Michael Steele will be blamed and fired.

Negative campaigning has worked in the past, but it would seem that after the horrible loss of McCain,a new strategy would have been implemented.I agree that Michael Steele will take the blame for a Limbaugh/Beck vision for the Republican Party.

McCain and Palin? Do they realize that this was the worst pairing since Mondale Ferraro? The more they do and say,the better the Democrats will be.

Hell Yeah!

According to the polls, the strategy is beginning to fail

If the Dems don't come up with a consistent message. It might work. The President can not do it alone.

I luv it Tanya! They are about to self destruct! And Sarah is the only won winning. She is getting paid!Sarah is the smartest one in the party. Isn't that sad!

Why is disagreement on values considered opposition and obstruction?

12. Art said...

@Raymond,when no clear alternate solutions are proposed,it is considered opposition and obstruction. Thank you Tanya for your straight forward approach in addressing the real deal. This level of opposition is unheard of.Even with the disdain that many felt for the Clintons, they were never disrespected like this administration.

How can Palin and McCain proclaim anything? They LOST!

@art. Playing the race card?Disagreement is not disrespect

15. Art said...

Not playing the race card.I leave that to the Tea Party.

I am afraid that this strategy may work. The Republicans may be liars ,but are consistent liars with an trusting audience.

Only to the extent that Obama supporters become complacent and feel that the coast is clear. The American political system is anything but predictable. American generally have a short memory. We are a 'what have you done for me lately" so this administration must now explain to the American people why following their direction is the better route. Obama needs to be able to say to the American people, "You are better off now than four years ago"

On the road again.I hope that there are not enough gullible Americans to fall for this campaign.

I find the question both intriguing and disturbing that the question has to be raised.I would hope that the Republicans would have to counter with some substance to make progress in the fall.

Hell No

I don't get it that they will continue down a path that has not worked. They have only achieved in motivating the uninformed.

25. Marvin said...

Lets not underestimate the power of no. We need to make sure that this strategy won't work.

26. Wayne said...

If a Politician tells you i will lie, cheat and steal your money, than you as americans will vote for this person, even if you know they are a crook. Just look at the politicians we have now and before this administration. we keep the same tired poiticians in office and there is no good change for the American people. What a shame. Lets get real and wake up and get people who want to work for the american people in office and stop settling for less than that.

Ditto Wayne.

It is amazing that these people cannot see the forest for the trees.

It seems to be working! The teabaggers are brainwashed. How can a Black man justify joining these people.I was appalled to see brothers walking in step in a movement that is designed to take us back. The issue of states rights have been used since the civil war.
