It's Done!

Health care reform has been a long and drawn out process.

What do you think of the outcome? What will it mean for the President and the country?

I am proud of our President and believe that his poll numbers will soar.

4. James Jackson said...

I am elated.WE elected him to keep his campaighn promises. This may not be all that some have wanted, but more than we have achieved in 100 years.History will favor this President and those Democrats that chose to follow him.Let the Republicans and Tea Baggers continue to show themselves for what they are. Obstructionists and Liars!!!

This is not a day to celebrate by any means. The truth about this bill will be unraveling over the next few months.None of those fix-its will make mandatory government run health care legal or constitutional. This will be a one term president.

6. Howard said...

It means no pre existing conditions and access for those that are without! Bravo!

Repeal the Bill!

How stupid can the American public be! The Federal Government takes money out your check every pay period to fund Medicare. Now that the Democrats passed Health Care reform its Socialized medicine. The Dem’s are one up on the good old boys and their pay checks form the lobbyist will be a little bit short this month.

Most of the lower and middle class people that are against this, guess what when you lose your jobs and are dropped from your polices I guess you will just die from lack of coverage because I know you will not take advantage of this..IDIOTS

It is a shame that when a politician is elected to reform healthcare,he is attacked for doing it.If the people did not want health care,John McCain would be president. And why won't Sarah Palin just shut the hell up?

Now,if you don't get the vote, you sue to get your way. This thing is out of control. We need to speak out in support of the President and the Democrats that stood tall

The President and Congress will get credit for doing the right thing while those Republicans show the hate and venom of the kkk

I am very proud today. Many are upset because the bill could have been better and included more. They are not old enough to know that change is incremental.200 years and we still are not free of bigotry and racism.Thank you for what you do. BTW,I was starstruck at the ULGR dinner when I realized that you were two tables away. I didn't want to ask for your autograph. So tacky. I must say that you are as beautiful in person as on your pictures.Too often photographers touch up and master photos. You look just like your pictures! No touch up needed.I love listening to you on the radio, but this is my first time responding on line.I am 69 yrs young and just got my first laptop.

Passing the bill is a cool thing; it needs a few fixes but I'm sure they will be addressed over time as was the case with other government programs.

Now, these cats need to put back on the boxing gloves and address financial markets reform, No Child Left Behind, new industry development and employment...and that's not the end of the list...

While you all are celebrating, the country is going bankrupt.

17. briana said...

I agree with Jessica. The President and the country are just fine.Racism is nothing new.We are overcoming.

Fran,
If you didn't already know...the country was bankrupt prior to President Obama taking office. If you didn’t hear, the CBO confirmed the bill will pay for it self. As for Michael Steele, that brother is one step away from being called the "N" word and he doesn't even know it. I guarantee you, if he was walking up to Capital Hill with the rest of the House of Representatives, the Tea Party members wouldn’t have know him from any other member and would have inflicted the same treatment on him. Case closed!

It is amazing that these people have no shame in their game.Blatant Hate!We can not allow them to steal the joy of this day!

20. Dave said...

We all should focus on the positive of the day.I agree with Sharon. The republicans will continue with the antics as long as the cameras are rolling.Cuchinelli must have a video camera attached to his desk!

21. Suzanne said...

The conservatives will eventually have to move on. The polls are turning in favor of this bill.Hooray!

My view;-respect for those in office is necessary! How did they get there is still the question!!Money alone does not make the rules!!!!The President is a great man!!Thanks for the leadership!!

The passage means that president Obama has done something for the History books and 30 million Americans will now recieve health care! Win Win!

26. Ed said...

It means that no matter what this President achieves, the naysayers will grow by leaps and bounds.

This is great for the President and the country.

Health care and nuclear arms deal with Russia.Done deal. Now if only we can get out of Iraq and Afghanistan and come to terms with Iran.President Obama will probably have that done in six months.Yes,we can.

I do believe people deserve some 'basic' levels of preventive health care.. I just dont think this bill is the way to do it. It is based off of the self same system my own CommonWealth uses (Massachusetts) Spending from and because of it? Is out of control Rates are up.. IF it wasnt' for the Federal government giving us money .. our CommonWealth could not even come close to sustaining what we call RomneyCare~ So whos to say, but if Massachusetts is the measuring bar.. The results should be visible in 2 years or so.

31. bjsoros said...

If you think healthcare is expensive now, wait until it is free !!!!!!! Huge mistake allowing Dems to rob us blind.

The war escalates in the Middle East. All of the War is Not the Answer signs disappeared in our town around Nov 2009. Now Obama says he is going to drill offshore. Hypocrisy...they name is the Democratic Socialist Party

I think that the health care bill is going to break this this economy. There is no way we can add that many people without making the working class pay for it. People that have never paid a dime into the economy is still going to be large exspence between wellfare and now free medical. I don't want to pay for it. I pay 2200 a month now and I am retired I can't afford to pay for someone to sorry to work
