Should Parents Be Held Criminally Accountable For Crimes Committed By Their Children?

A Louisiana mother could be serving time for crimes her children committed, if convicted. The Louisiana mother was arrested and charged with improper supervision of a minor. Her two sons, 10 and 12 years old, are accused of committing more than 10 criminal offenses, including burglarizing a store two nights in a row. If convicted, the mother could spend 30 days in jail and forced to pay thousands of dollars for the alleged behavior of her sons.

What's your take? Should a parent  be held criminally accountable for crimes committed by their children?

Sometimes SOME parents need to take responsibility for the actions of their children.Too often teachers are being asked to be parents.

Sad that you have to threaten parents to be parents.

Locking up this mother will not make her kid's behavior.
