TanyaFree.com Weekly Poll

CBS and the NFL made the decision to pull a segment featuring Rihanna singing “Run This Town” from its opening week Thursday Night Football broadcast.  Rihanna was not happy with the decision and made it publicly known.   It was the first Baltimore Ravens game since Ray Rice was indefinitely suspended .The lyrics “Feel it comin' in the air, And the screams from everywhere, I’m addicted to the thrill, It's a dangerous love affair” was considered too controversial considering the allegations of domestic abuse dominating the NFL.

What’s Your Take? Did CBS and the NFL make the right call?

Why did they think it was a good idea before this

It ain't about the song. Its about Rhianna. Blame the victim

The image of the NFL is at stake. They have always been chauvinistic. They invented the booty shaking over sexed cheerleaders in stadiums of screaming drunks. You will be lucky to escape FedEx field without someone pouring beer on you. They have their own onsite lock up.

Who cares about Rhianna?

Nothing wrong w/that! I think that people misunderstand lyrics and mixing music w/sports. That's what most athletes listen to when they get pumped up! Lighten up. Geeeeeesh!

I agree with Tera. They got it all wrong.

Read the lyrics again.Sounds like loving the dangerous game of football. They got it wrong. They pulled her because she was the face of abuse and a reminder of what they have been covering up.I am not a Rhianna fan but she did not deserve to be pulled.
