Maryland Attorney General Douglas Gansler, who is also a Democratic gubernatorial candidate  has admitted to a lapse of judgment  after being  at a  beach house party where high school graduates were apparently indulging in underage drinking. Gansler stated during a news conference that he stopped by the party to check on his son who was the party’s DJ.

Gansler, who appeared in a 2012 Public Service Announcement, has been described as a “crusader against underage drinking.”Parents, you're the leading influence on your teen's decision not to drink," he said in the video. "It's never too early to talk with your kids about smart ways to say no."

What’s your take? Did the Attorney General have a moral and or legal obligation or responsibility to stop the suspected underage drinking that he has crusaded against?

Yes he should have done something. My question is who and where were the chaperones?

"There could be Kool-Aid in the red cups," he said at a Thursday press conference, taking an awkward stab at damage control. "But there's probably beer in the red cups."

"In hindsight, I probably should have assumed there was drinking and talked to the chaperones about what they thought was appropriate."

And this guy wants to be Governor?

Yes and he should have gotten out front on this and admitted that he made a mistake. His admission and reflection came too late
