The style of “sagging” pants in which pants hang so low that underwear is exposed could come at a price in the state of Mississippi. A GOP lawmaker is proposing fines and counseling for saggy pants. A warning would be issued for the first offense of the noncriminal citation, $20 for the second and up to $100 for the sixth offense along with psychological and social counseling. Cities in several other states have adopted similar measures.
What’s your take? Should the government be in the business of regulating saggy pants? Is this proposed bill is a form of racial profiling?
